My Latest Collections: Vinča and Ethno - A Story of Past and Present
Hi everyone! I want to share how exciting this year has been! So many new projects and collections that blend the old and the new in a totally fresh way. In my studio, I’m constantly experimenting – with techniques, materials, idea . . . I create art that has that something, art that tells a story. And now, I want to take you behind the scenes and show you what 2024 has been all about.
The Vinča Collection: When Past and Present Collide (in a Good Way)
The Vinča collection is truly special. Imagine modern minimalism mixed with ancient inspiration. These are paintings that pay homage to nature and the mystery of the Vinča civilization – works that have marked our history. I wanted to capture that magic and translate it onto canvas.
These paintings, created with 3D texture, combine modern aesthetics with elements from the past. They look wow, and the texture just begs you to touch them. They create a feeling of deep connection with nature and the values that the Vinča culture held. Each painting, regardless of size or color, has its own story and gives a special vibe to the space.
The Vinča collection isn’t just beautiful to look at – it makes you think about how the past, present, nature, and ourselves are connected. The essence is to inspire you in everyday life, with art that has deep meaning.
The Ethno Collection: Tradition in a New Light (Totally Trendy)
The Ethno collection celebrates the richness of Serbian tradition through totally original artworks. It’s inspired by traditional symbols from Serbian folk costumes and motifs of the Pirot carpet – I’m reviving cultural heritage in a fully modern way. This was a real challenge, but I enjoyed every moment of the creation process.
“Avlija,” one of the key paintings, blends traditional and contemporary like no other. Layered textures, carefully painted motifs, and deep respect for tradition make this painting a true masterpiece. I felt like I was painting a part of my own history.
There’s also “Dušanovo Carstvo,” which symbolizes the strength and greatness of Serbia during the reign of Emperor Dušan. The details and powerful symbolism celebrate national pride and remind us of the importance of our history.
