There is a point where luxury becomes brutal.
Aurelian Crust No. 01 is an archaeological record of movement and resistance. In this piece, I have replaced the traditional brushstroke with the weight of mineral aggregates, creating a visceral tension between the raw earth and the human ego.
This is not a painting; it is a monolithic object. The gold is not a decoration, but a survivor – a metallic crust formed under the pressure of the process. It is a dialogue between what is eternal and what is decaying.
It is not about what you see, but how deep you are willing to scratch below the surface.
